How can I more closely track my usage?
What is a TDU in the Texas electricity market?
A Transmission and Distribution Utility (TDU) is responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure, like power lines and transformers, that delivers electricity to homes and businesses in Texas, regardless of which Retail Electric Provider (REP) you choose.
Note: while you have a choice of which provider to use, you don’t have a choice about your TDU. This is determined by which area your service address is located.
What should I do if there's an outage or power line issue?
In case of an outage or issues like downed power lines, you should contact your TDU directly. They are responsible for repairing and maintaining the electrical infrastructure.
